And for my BFF spyderbyte , I specifically made this one:

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is what a BFA gives you. Animated icons. Thank you very much.

It's 3:46 a.m. and I'm still not asleep.
I took an hour nap accidentally. I had half a cup of coffee 6 hours ago. Maybe it's because tomorrow's my last day.
Anyway, I don't know the last time I've stayed up this late on a week-night. Tomorrow's gonna suck big time. |

I want to list events, Locally owned shops, and crafters on this page http://www.honestuniquebeautiful.net/special.html of my website.
Only problem is, I'm finding it very hard to find anything around this city that has a website. I don't want to just list things, I want to link them.
Any suggestions?
Anything art related is a huge bonus!
Thank you for your time |

1. I got a raise today! Hoorah! Not huge...but enough to make a difference. And probably enough to keep me eating through grad school. 2. Went to Yakima last weekend, it was very pleasant. We drove past Mt. Rainier on the way back...gorgeous. Pictures on Facebook. Good to have a nice relaxing weekend...even though it was bloody hot. It was also cool to hang out with Karl and Hanna and Jon (John?) and Creighton. 3. Bite of Seattle this weekend....and Dark Knight! Hoorah! Also, going home for dinner on Friday...my mom is making paella. Is that how you spell that? ::dictionary:: Wow, that actually is right. 4. Two weeks 'til San Francisco with Stephanie! 5. I'm directing a live radio play called "Sorry, Wrong Number" for Joe and Dave's apartmenttheatrecompany, Robot Arms Theatre. It'll play in August at some point, and should be pretty fun. I've never directed before...but I think it'll be ok :) I'm also in a few of the comedy sketches. 6. Project Runway with Anna and Karl and KT and KC :) Lookit all the K names :)

| [ | mood |
| | nerdy | ] | Thus far this summer (since graduation) I have read: 1. Garden Spells (A cheap bantam romance deal) 2. something by Lynsey Sand (vampire mystery romance deal) 3. Anna Karenina-Lev Tolstoy 4. The Sandman series-Neil Gaiman (that's 10 vols of graphic novels) 5. Lady Chatterly's Lover-D.H. Lawrence
...Think that's it for now. I'm currently reading A Portrait of the Artist As a Young Man. Not sure if I'll read the Dubliners, but it's in the same book. I'm very happy to have enough time to read so much. I hope that in my lifetime I read 10,000 books, not counting re-reads, but I haven't been keeping count. I would say that I'm probably somewhere in the thousands. I know when I was like 11 or 12 I read 100 or so books in one summer. Granted, the books I read now are a bit longer, Anna Karenina was 940 pgs. I will count graphic novels as I have read a 1200 page graphic novel (Bone-complete series), and would think that is definitely a piece of literature. Plus, if a picture is worth a thousand words than a basic graphic novel page (3x3 panels) would have 9000 words not counting the balloons!
I think that books I have read for school also count since I actually read them, and a good bit of them I enjoyed. Though I guess I'll never actually know if I have read 10,000, I suppose I can start keeping count now?
I guess if anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. |

[Jul. 15th, 2008|12:46 pm] |
I have 3.5 days left. Or 28 hours.
I haven't even been at this job for a year. I was a student just 14 months ago. But I'm already a little anxious about the idea of not having a job. Not having a continuous positive cash flow. I have savings. I have parents that are willing to, and plan on, helping me financially. I'd rather them not have to. I have a graduate assistantship (I assume I still do?) that will waive my tuition and pay me a decent amount of money a month to own my soul.
But I'm still nervous about not making as much money. And about being unemployed for 33 days.
So I've started making a list of things for me to do during those 33 days. One being finish my grad school application.
And I've also started trying to come up with some things I can do for money. That's pretty hard, since I don't know what kinds of temp jobs exist. I just would rather not be living 100% off my savings.
So that's that. Maybe I'll look into being a movie extra. They are filming Carmen Electra's Mardi Gras. Watcha think insilico? |

Thanks so much! |

| Ringtones |
[Jul. 14th, 2008|07:42 pm] |
When you get a new cell phone, you have to fiddle with the menus and press the buttons. Active the SIM chip and insert the extra memory. Figure out how to pull up your own number (because you'll forget soon enough) and discover the zen of volume control.
I'm not sure what other people do, but for me there are two immediate priorities: re-integrating my address book and setting personalized ringtones for groups and specific friends.
Enter jinkei . He got a new phone this week and is in dire need of some nice shiny new ringtones. I can understand, and I'm doing my part in his quest for heightened answerability. I never pay for ring tones in this age of bluetooth and exchangeable xd cards and neither should you. They are all clip-length rather than full songs and could possibly be optimized better, but I haven't the skill.
This is my current list: http://kristinbrenemen.com/ringtones/
I would point out Takoyaki out for one. It's short. It's addictive. It's about octopus dumplings. A win in all categories. In the addictive category Leva's Polka should also be examined, as well as Vertigogo.
Brass Monkey is included only because it seems everyone has that on their phone for some reason. I play it to mock them.
Do you have any ringtones that you must have on your phone? What are they?
PS: LOLZ iphone. No can has. PS2: A site for free file transfer to your mobile, in case you are lacking other means.

| Not sure... |
[Jul. 14th, 2008|10:39 am] |
But I'm betting this week's Bulldog outing is postponed until further notice. Between me still healing, and the guys leaving next weekend for some Warhammer tourny there's just not enough time. (I'm only 9 punches in for the 50 beer challenge)
There's talk of anime night resuming on Wednesday though, and Ben's birthday celebration at Nagoya on Thursday.
(.....Melissa skip the rest!.....)
Wisdom Tooth Update, Day 5: □ I got all four wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday morning. The top two were partial pull, the bottom two were full surgery. □ Dr Nichols did a great job. Anesthesia had me out like a light (it took only like 30 - 45 minutes) and I slept it off the rest of the day. Never felt a thing. □ One of the bottom teeth had to be sawed out or somesuch (I only have half of that one. The other three are as whole as can be expected) and as a result, it's been hurting more than the rest. Not unbearable but a dull throb all the same. □ I stopped taking my pain medicine yesterday and so far so good. □ I finish up my round of antibiotics tonite. This leaves me with a few days left of super ibuprofen doses and then I'm done. □ No dry socket to speak of. I've been careful, eating mushy foods, and salt water rinses a few times a day. □ Everyone would have an easy recovery time if they had a wonderful Jack taking care of them. <3
I just can't wait until I feel safe enough to brush my molars and stuff. I'm afraid I'll yank my stitches out with the bristles or something silly like that.
